Dr. Xin obtained his PhD degree in Optical Engineering from the College of Optical Science and Engineering, Zhejiang University in 2018. Currently, he serves as Associate Professor, Doctoral Supervisor, Young Top Talent of Shanxi Province, Young Science and Technology Talents of the Chinese Society for Instrumentation,Dean Assistant of the (Provincial-level) Future Technology School of Instrumentation and Intelligence, and Director of the Silicon-based Photonics Center, Institute of Advanced Interdisciplinary Sciences at North University of China.
His main research focuses on precision control of optical fields and sensing applications based on low-dimensional photonic structures, including two research directions:
1)Displacement sensing technology based on two-dimensional micro/nano gratings;
2)Optical parametric sensing technology based on one-dimensional micro/nano wires.
He has presided over a number of scientific research projects, such as the National Natural Science Foundation of China (Youth and General Programs), National Defense Innovation Special Zone Project, China Postdoctoral Science Foundation (General Program), Military Pre-research Project, and Equipment Development Department (EDD) Field Foundation. He has published more than 20 SCI-indexed papers in internationally renowned academic journals including Nano Letters, Crystal Growth & Design and Optics Express, and has filed over 20 national invention patent applications.
He also holds the positions of Guest Editor and Special Issue Editor of Micromachines journal and Young Editorial Board Member of Journal of Measurement Science and Instrumentation.
