On December 6, 2025, the 89th "Knowledge and Action Worldwide" academic Forum, chaired by Associate Professor Xin Chenguang,
was held in Room 1409 of the Main Building. Professor Fang Wei from the College of Optoelectronic Science and Engineering of Zhejiang
University was invited to give a report titled "Fiber-Integrated Single Photon Source and Single Photon Detector".
In the report, Professor Fang Wei introduced several attempts at integrated single-photon sources in optical fibers, including the
generation of correlated photon pairs based on four-wave mixing in micro-nano fibers, single-photon sources based on evanescent
field coupling in micro-nano fibers, and high-brightness single-photon sources with FP cavities integrated at the end faces of optical
fibers. In addition, high-efficiency upconversion single-photon detectors and wide-spectrum response superconducting nanowire
single-photon detectors achieved by mode regulation of micro-nano fibers and strong evanescent fields are also introduced.
